FTC Means Business...
Google's Legal Battles Continue.

Google got hit with a $22.5 million fine for Safari tracking courtesy of the FCC. It's the largest penalty ever for a violation of an FTC order.

Is this some kind of scare tactic, making an example out of Google so that others know the FTC means business? It seems a little harsh, but the invasion of someones privacy is serious business. I think Google had good intentions though. 

"No matter how big or small, all companies must abide by FTC orders against them and keep their privacy promises to consumers, or they will end up paying many times what it would have cost to comply in the first place."

This won't be the last time we hear about Google and personal privacy, this is only the beginning. What the future holds for the search engine turned powerhouse, only time will tell.
